Organization Description:

The Kettle Creek Conservation Authority (KCCA) was incorporated by an Order in Council in 1965. In partnership with its member municipalities, and the Province of Ontario, the Authority manages the natural resources of the Kettle Creek watershed and devotes itself to water and land conservation projects. The Full Authority, or Board of Directors, makes program decisions and allocates funds. This body is comprised of ten representatives from municipalities within the watershed. Together the members develop programs that further the conservation, restoration, development and management of the natural resources of Kettle Creek watershed.

 Kettle Creek Conservation Authority is now accepting résumés for the following job opportunities. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license; be available for all shifts including weekends and statutory holidays; and cannot be related to the employer.

The following positions are temporary and are available at Dalewood (St. Thomas) and Lake Whittaker (Harrietsville) Conservation Areas. Salary is based on 37.5 hr/week.

Park Attendants – Team Leaders (2 positions at $13/hr • 18 weeks – May - Sept)
Park Attendants (4 positions at $10.75/hr • 18 weeks – May - Sept)

Qualifications:
  • Outdoor work experience in landscaping, farming, nursery operation, tree planting or forestry.
  • Tree and shrub identification skills an asset.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
  • Available to work weekends.
  •  Able to work as a team player.
  • Possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License.
  • Possess a secondary school diploma.
