- The chosen candidate will be responsible for signing up multiple clients per month, collecting payments, and providing necessary materials to salons
- General PR and marketing when necessary
- Leads will be generated through cold-calling and networking, as well as existing corporate partnerships. Additional responsibilities will include orientations (training of clients), and periodic follow-ups to ensure customer service requirements are met
- Monthly reporting to head office in Toronto
- Having a fantastic time and loving your work
- Proven sales record, with at least 3-5 years experience
- Outgoing personality with a strong focus on customer service values and excellent command of the English language
- knowledge of the salon industry, experience is an asset
- Proficient in the use of spreadsheets
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and own vehicle a necessity
- Knowledge of Vancouver area, including main highways, roads and downtown
- A great problem solver
- Must be available to train and job shadow towards the end of May

BSI Biodegradable Solutions is based in Vancouver, BC and is a supplier of biodegradable and compostable food service ware, food packaging and flatware products. We are looking to expand our sales team with a motivated, energetic and dynamic full-time sales representative.
As the sales rep, your key objectives will be to sell, grow and promote BSI Biodegradable's product lines and brand, as well as develop a strong rapport with customers. Knowledge of and an interest in social responsibility and environmental sustainability is an asset.
The position will include office orientation and training. Compensation will include a base plus commission structure. Bonuses will also be available for achieving specified sales targets.
Sales responsibilities will include, but are not exclusive to the following:
• Present and sell BSI products (retail and/or commercial) to current and potential clients
• Identify new market and client opportunities
• Prepare presentations and sales proposals for sales calls and sales meetings
• Develop and maintain product and sales knowledge
• Establish new client relationships and maintain current client relationships.
• Identify and resolve client problems/concerns
• General sales and admin duties
• Regular meetings on sales activities, goals and targets
• Managing CRM software
• Other duties as assigned
Skills and attributes required for the position
• Minimum 3 years sales experience (B to B Preferred)
• Ability to build an effective sales plan and strategy
• Highly motivated by achievement with an internal drive to succeed
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Good presenter and natural closer
• Comfortable meeting new people and developing new relationships
• Access to a vehicle and ability to travel
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
• Well organized, with excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
