Doing this is not only fulfilling our long term mission of developing a self-sustaining Arctic Eco-Village but also investigating innovative solutions to major obstacles facing communities in the North: food and housing insecurity, decolonizing our economy, capacity development, and cultural revitalization.
FOOD SYSTEMS COORDINATOR:
The role of the Food Systems Coordinator will be to implement our food programs such as staff meals, manage food product inventory and supplies, country food processing, greenhouse harvesting and soil building.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
A positive attitude & strong work ethic
Experience with cooking and organizing meals for large groups
Ability to work independently and as part of a team including living cooperatively in a farm setting.
Must be 18-30 years of age (as part of the Canada Jobs Program)
A valid driver’s license
A valid boating license is an asset
Food Handlers Certificate
Accommodations: Non-Inuvik Residents have the opportunity to live on-site at the Tundra North Camp in a communal setting.
