Help Desk Technician
Water Security Agency (WSA) is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the Business Information & Technology Systems team as a Help Desk Technologist.
Reporting to the Manager, Business Information & Technology Systems, an employee in this job will, as a first point of contact, provide direct user support for software application, hardware and network connectivity requests and problems. In addition, this employee will undertake support responsibilities for computer operations and hardware installation and maintenance.
This position will undertake help desk support activities involving identifying and resolving hardware, software, and communications problems of varying complexities in accordance with established WSA protocols to ensure user requests are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner.
This position will also undertake day to day hardware and software maintenance tasks related to the network, servers and workstations; and install, configure, upgrade and/or maintain hardware and applicable software on the LAN/WAN as required.
The successful candidate will have completed of a minimum two-year post-secondary Computer Science or similar discipline program and be eligible for certification as an Information Systems Professional (I.S.P.).
