Manager, Environmental Services (South)
Water Security Agency (WSA) is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Manager, Environmental Services.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Environmental and Municipal Management Services, an employee in this job will manage the Environmental Services South Unit comprised of a group of technical staff responsible for implementing legislation, regulations, standards, protocols and guidelines in the water and wastewater programs to ensure public health and environmental protection.
This employee will deal with difficult technical situations and water/wastewater related emergencies as well as develop and re-evaluate water & wastewater related legislation, regulation, performance plans and also develop and aid the development of drinking water & wastewater quality standards, guidelines, codes of practice and protocols.
You will work among a diverse and passionate team of professionals from fields including engineering, water quality, ecology, law, sociology, and public policy to name a few, that are leading this exciting challenge in our province.
The successful candidate will have a Degree in Environmental Engineering or Natural Sciences, 10 years of progressively more responsible directly related experience and must be eligible to obtain and maintain Level II Water Treatment and Level II Distribution Operations Certifications.
