Tree Planter

The Tree Planter position is responsible for the planting of seedlings and larger stock trees throughout the Kettle Creek watershed.

The position reports directly to the Forest and Soils Conservation Supervisor or the Stewardship Program Supervisor.

Responsibilities: Candidate would be responsible for hand and machine planting tree and shrub seedlings and large stock trees. Perform other duties, which may be assigned by the Forest and Soils Conservation Supervisor or the Stewardship Program Supervisor. Conduct work in a safe manner, ensuring KCCA’s health and safety policies are adhered to at all times.

Requirements: Outdoor work experience in landscaping, farming, nursery operation, tree planting or forestry. Must be able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision. Available to work flexible hours as required including evenings or weekends. Able to work as a team player. Possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License. Possess a secondary school diploma.

$15.00/hr • 5 weeks (April-May) • 40 hours/week
