WHY WORKCABIN
THE RIGHT PEOPLE. NOT THE MOST.
Conservation Jobs. Nothing Else. Aligned Job Seekers.
Most conservation employers use multiple platforms when hiring… and for good reason. Hiring has become harder across nearly every sector, and finding the right candidates quickly isn’t easy.
I won’t make promises. But I can tell you this with complete confidence: the people who see your job posting on WorkCabin.ca are already aligned with conservation. True word-of-mouth happens here. And I’ll continue to look at ways to help, like the new zero-cost Team Member Spotlights.
I didn’t start WorkCabin.ca back in 2007 because I spotted a market opportunity. I started it because I wanted to belong in conservation. I was searching for a place where that felt possible (read my personal story).
Unlike other job boards managed by teams, directors, or shareholders, WorkCabin is run personally by myself. It’s informed by my personal firsthand experience in conservation…. not from a distance, but from within it.
Because WorkCabin is run independently, it’s done as a passion — not a product. Employers post on WorkCabin because they want their roles seen by the precise audience that already cares.
WorkCabin has been entirely employer-supported for almost 20 years. I’m grateful to the employers who post here, and to the conservation workers, biologists, field techs, and new grads who make this community what it is, and keep coming back.
Thanks for stopping by, and for caring about conservation.
