Types of Personal Information Collected at WorkCabin.ca

WorkCabin collects personal information for account creation, resume submissions, job applications, and job postings, through electronic forms. These registrations may involve personal information, such as, but not necessarily limited to, the following:

  • Your name, home address, and home telephone and/or cell phone numbers
  • Your email address
  • Your place of employment and job title
  • Your employment history and educational achievements
  • Credit card information and/or banking information: Please note that our credit card provider handles online payments securely and credit card data is available only to authorized staff.

Use of Your Information

WorkCabin uses your personal information to provide services to you.

WorkCabin does not sell, share, barter, rent, divulge or otherwise disseminate personal information.

Destruction of Personal Information

The destruction of personal information will occur when there is a withdrawal of consent or the retention of information is no longer necessary, or our services change and information is no longer relevant to our services.

The process is as follows for your withdrawal of consent:

  • The person contacts us at NATURE (AT) WORKCABIN.CA stating that they would like to withdraw their consent for WorkCabin to use their personal information for the purpose(s) stated. When contacting us state your username and use the email associated with the account.
  • All electronic information is then deleted from our servers.

The process is as follows for changing our service that may result in destruction of electronically stored personal information:

  • Thirty days notice posted at workcabin.ca/blog detailing the reason for the pending destruction of personal information. It is your responsibly to access your personal information and copy and/or print for your records prior to the destruction date in the notice.

Security of Personal Information

WorkCabin takes all reasonable precautions to ensure that your personal information is kept safe from loss, unauthorized access, modification or disclosure. Among the steps taken to protect your information are:

  • Premises security
  • Employee training in the storage, safeguarding and use of personal information
  • Restricted file access to personal information (i.e. your data is accessed only by WorkCabin staff)
  • Technological safeguards such as security software and firewalls to prevent unauthorized computer access

    Please note that despite the above security measures, any email correspondence that you have with WorkCabin is not completely secure if you send non-encrypted emails.
