Chilliwack Lake Provincial Parks

Would you like to work somewhere most people only visit on weekends?
Spend your days outside, support visitors from around the world, and help protect some of British Columbia’s most beautiful natural spaces.

We’re hiring team members to work across at Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park.

This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in parks, recreation, tourism, conservation, or outdoor leadership.

What You’ll Do

  • Providing friendly customer service to park visitors
  • Patrolling campgrounds, day-use areas, and trails
  • Sharing park information and promoting responsible recreation
  • Performing light maintenance and cleaning of facilities
  • Supporting safety, compliance, and environmental stewardship
  • Assisting with basic administrative or gatehouse tasks

What We’re Looking For

  • Positive, reliable, and self-motivated team members
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Valid BC Driver’s license (class 5 preferred)

Physical requirements:

  • Walking up to 8 hours per day on trails and uneven terrain
  • Lifting up to 20 kg (45 lbs)
  • Working in a variety of outdoor conditions
  • Must be capable of hiking a 3.6km intermediate level trail

Assets (Not Required)

  • First Aid certification
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience in parks, tourism, or outdoor recreation
