The position
This position is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of improvement projects and daily operations of multiple conservation areas including property maintenance, trail management and development, planning, planting, and monitoring restoration projects, infrastructure improvements, and contributing to the strategic goals and advancement of the department. This position will involve field and administrative duties, equipment and fleet vehicle maintenance and management, as well as community outreach activities.

You demonstrate an ability to work with a variety of grounds keeping equipment including safe operations, general care and maintenance.
You possess the knowledge and experience relevant to the management and maintenance of trail networks, property restoration projects, and infrastructure repair and maintenance.
You appreciate working in a team environment where supporting the success of others is just as important as your own success.
You appreciate the freedom to make independent technical decisions within the scope of your expertise and in keeping with provincial and Kawartha Conservation policies, guidelines, and procedures.
It is important to you to hold oneself accountable for effectively meeting and exceeding organizational program goals.
Conditions of Employment
Prior to the start date, the successful candidate is required to complete a satisfactory drivers abstract and Canadian Criminal Record Check.
