Who are we and what is CIRODD?
The École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) is part of the Université du Québec network. Specializing in teaching and applied research in engineering and technology transfer, it trains engineers and researchers recognized for their practical and innovative approach. Ideally located in the Griffintown district at the junction of Old Montreal and downtown, ÉTS is within walking distance of Lucien-Lallier and Bonaventure metro stations.
The Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Operationalization of Sustainable Development (CIRODD) is a Strategic Cluster funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ-NT/SC). Its mission is to accelerate the transformation of society in order to support socio-ecological transition through sustainable innovation and transdisciplinarity. The CIRODD catalyzes, enlightens, advises, mobilizes and supports decision-makers and actors in society in making decisions based on the best scientific knowledge and practices.
More details about your role
The person responsible for Partenerships’ and Affairs’ development for the CIRODD plans, organizes and coordinates the development of collaborative projects in CIRODD’s sectors of activity, in particular launches new projects to accelerate the socio-ecological transition and coordinates and synergizes projects with strategic partners. It establishes and consolidates relations with the network of CIRODD researchers and multisectoral partners, develops links with various stakeholders and creates local, nationaland international partnerships with a view to develop affairs’ links and carry out cooperation activities.
· Advises the General Director and the Director of Operations on strategic and critical CIRODD activities, including communications related to the CIRODD activities.
· Develops parthnerships’, affairs’plans, and deploys a positioning strategy in order to achieve CIRODD’s growth objectives. Plans and carries out various partnerships and affairs activities and remains on the prospect for strategies to more likely increase the development of CIRODD.
· Contributes to promotional activities and collaborates in the organization of special events such as workshops, exhibitions and participates as a representative of CIRODD. Performs various studies or analyzes and writes reports relating to specific projects.
· Works, in collaboration with internal partners, to identify and develop joint opportunities across sectors. Develops a network of external partners (private, public, university), at the local, national and international level, carries out missions and ensures representation in different sectors in order to develop business and academic links.
· Initiates and contributes to the development of collaborative projects between CIRODD researcher members and partners on specific research themes.
· Fosters the development and maintenance of a strong and dynamic internal community, namely:
o listen to the needs, expectations and motivations of CIRODD member researchers;
o set up conditions and activities facilitating interdisciplinary and inter-establishment collaboration;
o fully understand the expertise of CIRODD members in order to act as a relay to internal and external actors when specific expertise is sought.
· Establishes, maintains and develops affairs’ relationships with various organizations, such as affairs’ associations, strategic technologyclusters, professional orders, chambers of commerce, etc., in order to develop strategic partnerships.
· Coordinate and lead partnership committees.
· Assumes budget related tasks. Evaluates needs, participates in the development of the budget for his or her sector of activity and ensure its follows-up according to the standards in effect.
· Prepares and drafts contractual agreements related to the activities of its sector and ensures the follow-up.
· Collects relevant data relating to the needs of companies in terms of technology transfers and other services offered by the CIRODD.
· Ensures close collaboration and exchange of relevant information with partners, other departments, administrative units, business sectors or other internal and external stakeholders; carries out the necessary follow-up.
· Keeps his/her knowledge of field of activity, environment and network of interveners up to date. Participates in seminars, congresses and conferences in the field of sustainable development.
Do you have what it takes to rise to the challenge?
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or administration, or other appropriate discipline, with a specialization in industrial or intersectoral engineering or in sustainable development or in project management.
· A master’s degree in an appropriate discipline will be considered an asset.
· Minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience in business development, project coordination and sustainable development.
· Experience and / or knowledge of sustainable development sectors (mobility and transport, energy, industry 4.0, building, green ICT).

It should be noted that the successful candidates will have to take a language test in relation to the requirements of the position.
