Admin and Operations Coordinator
Full-time: 40 hours/week, $4800-$5200/month (negotiable based on experience), contract
Location: Anywhere in Canada (working remotely)
The Endangered Ecosystems Alliance (EEA) is a registered charity & conservation organization that is working to support science-based protection of Canada’s native ecosystems, via research, education and the engagement of diverse sectors of society.
The EEA is looking for a detail-oriented person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated commitment and interest in nature protection and a natural predisposition to accurately completing highly detailed, sometimes repetitive, and complex technical work. This person will be responsible for implementing much of the administrative, operations, database, bookkeeping, and software-related duties of the organization. Working directly with the Executive Director and Outreach Director, this person will provide technical support for various facets of operations, development, outreach, and campaigns.
Skills and experience:

Detail-oriented, accurate, and reliable

Comfortable working with databases, including reporting (eg. Mailchimp, Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems, etc)

Bookkeeping and accounting experience

Familiar with developing web page content (eg. Squarespace)

Proficient in integrating third-party applications across platforms

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Familiarity with grant writing and development, and experience with reporting

Work and/or volunteer experience with environmental organization(s)
Responsibilities:

Accurately enter revenues and expenses into Quickbooks Online (basic bookkeeping)

Working with EEA’s accountant, file regular year-end documentation

Lead annual tax receipt-sending campaign

Build, manage, integrate, & troubleshoot EEA’s array of digital platforms, including EEA’s CRM, website, payment processors, and third-party applications

Draft grant budgets, organize and prepare reports

Support donor and funder recruitment and renewal campaigns

Prepare and send regular email newsletters to supporters (from provided materials)

Prepare financial reports, forecasts, schedules, and other organizational reports as needed

Assist with targeted public event logistics (presentations, talks, hikes and partner events) across Canada

Help coordinate the internal structure of the organization based on the EEA goals, mandate, approach, and values to ensure an efficient working organization.

Ensure the organization’s registration and other legal requirements as a charitable not-for-profit organization are maintained

Assist the EEA team in all manner of daily administrative, fundraising and campaign tasks
