Canadian conservation documentary premieres
Five years ago, the Long Point Biosphere Region was picked as the first Priority Place in Ontario for support under the Pan-Canadian Approach to Transforming Species at Risk Conservation. A new, full-length documentary film, A Priority Place, showcases the resulting conservation and public education work in the Long Point Biosphere Region. It is being shown locally for the first time to honour supporters and celebrate the collective achievements in this Priority Place.
The film project was funded by Environmental and Climate Change Canada and took more than a year to film and produce. The film was shot over several seasons and various landscapes in the Long Point Walsingham Forest and highlights the work that is underway to protect and restore one of the most unique and diverse ecosystems in Canada.
The premiere of the documentary takes place Friday Nov. 10, 2023 at Capitol 33 in Delhi, Ontario.
Admission is $50 per person (Finger foods, drink ticket, and film) – CLICK HERE TO BUY TICKETS (LIMITED NUMBER AVAILABLE)
Proceeds support the Long Point World Biosphere – Student Education and Outreach Programs.
Introduction of the documentary will feature the film’s award-winning journalist, conservationist, and filmmaker Gregg McLachlan, founder of WorkCabin Creative.
