Conservation filming work on Muskoka islands
WorkCabin Creative is working with Muskoka Conservancy on a series of conservation videos. The latest work involved travelling by boat to two island conservation properties in Muskoka.
In a region that is facing ever increasing development on its lakes, the importance of shoreline protection is becoming even more critical in Muskoka. Wildlife needs wild shorelines. Unfortunately, development and cottagers are increasingly converting lake frontage from wild to manicured lawns. Granite rock shores are being scrubbed of moss and lichen and shrubs. And trees, deadfall and other features that wildlife use to perch on, or bask in the sun, are being eliminated.
The latest video that is being filmed and produced will help emphasize the message that saving the wildness of shorelines in Muskoka is critical, and part of saving the nature that so many residents and tourists love.
Filming work on this project includes both on-the-ground filming, and aerial videography.
