Position Details: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary Range: $52,700 – $65,900. Salary is based on a 35-hour work week. Salary for this position will commensurate with each individual’s education and/or experience as it relates to the position.

What You Will Do
As a member of the Saskatchewan Operations Team, you will primarily be responsible for the inspection, management, and operations of DUC’s engineered wetland projects in Saskatchewan.
You need to be an enthusiastic team player and an effective communicator with the ability to build positive working relationships with fellow DUC staff, municipal and provincial government staff, project landowners, and other conservation agencies.
You possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills. You are self-motivated, enjoy a complex, changing environment and can manage numerous projects within tight deadlines.
Your minimum 1-3 years’ experience and knowledge of resources management, water management and landowner negotiations make you the ideal candidate for the position.
Requirements
- A post-secondary degree or technologist diploma in a related discipline such as Resource Management, Water Resources or Civil Engineering; equivalent practical field experience will also be considered.
- Strong planning, reporting, administrative and project management skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with GPS, MS Office and satellite imagery interpretation.
- Experience with operating ATVs.
- Ability to work long hours outdoors and perform strenuous and physical tasks.
- Experience supervising contractors would be an asset.
- An understanding of rural agricultural, industry and conservation practices would be considered an asset.
- Awareness of provincial Occupational Health and Safety practices.
- A valid class 5 driver’s license.
