Thank you for your support during Covid19
Over the past two months as employment postings have been reduced to a trickle in the conservation sector, WorkCabin has understandably received many emails and inquiries asking us when we think hiring will resume. The answer is we simply don’t have a definitive answer. Summer field work employment has been dramatically impacted as monitoring activities have been scaled back or cancelled. This reduction in postings has obviously had a significant impact on WorkCabin as well.
We are optimistic that we will see a slow increase in environmental job postings starting to arrive at WorkCabin.ca later this summer for fall positions. And we anticipate seeing more contract positions also starting to arrive at WorkCabin.ca in the coming months.
How you can help
Obviously, there are some Canadian conservation-related job postings still being posted during Covid19. We see them. We encourage you to please spread the word about WorkCabin.ca. Encourage organizations to use and support WorkCabin.ca during these difficult times. WorkCabin is proud of its 13-year history as Canada’s only dedicated Conservation Jobs Board, its authentic bond working directly with professionals in the field, and its career workshops helping recent grads and new grads enter the conservation field. WorkCabin is a 100% Canadian owned and operated small business. Always has been. And our rates have always been among the most affordable in Canada for a professional job board. We truly do believe We’re In It Together matters. Supporting each other makes such a difference.
In the meantime, we are working as hard as we can on outreach to keep WorkCabin.ca populated with some conservation job postings. If we can help your organization, please do reach out. We are here to help.
On the other side of WorkCabin’s field work, we are continuing to do some conservation video and photo work with organizations at this time. That’s one advantage of many conservation reserves and parklands being absent of people….. it’s a great time to get video work done in these places!
We’ll get through this. Together.
Thanks
