WorkCabin's Gregg McLachlan shares his top apps for enjoying nature
Looking for awesome apps for enjoying nature and the outdoors? The Nature Conservancy of Canada’s special feature in the Globe and Mail in October 2015 turned to two experts in the nature and outdoors field to share the apps they use.
Kevin Callan is the author of 15 books, including the best-selling The Happy Camper, in addition to a popular series of paddling guides. He has been a key speaker at major outdoor events in North America and the U.K. for over 25 years. He is also a regular contributor and columnist for Explore and Canoerootsmagazines. He is a winner of several film and National Magazine awards and was just listed one of the top 100 modern-day explorers by the Canadian Geographical Society.
Gregg McLachlan is an avid conservationist, amateur naturalist and a well-known nature photographer who founded WorkCabin.ca in 2007. An avid traveller and explorer, he has trekked through rainforests, camped in remote wilderness backcountry, snorkelled over pristine reefs of remote islands way off the beaten path of tourists, and hiked the mountain trails of Montserrat to spot the critically endangered Montserrat oriole, one of the rarest birds on the planet. He’s also a past Director with a world biosphere reserve foundation.
